FOUNDATION – it’s best to prepare it like for a sidewalk – concrete blocks are sufficient.
Please prepare the foundation as soon as possible – weather conditions may later make it impossible to complete, while the house will already be waiting for delivery.
Below are several ways to prepare the foundation (can be done on your own or commissioned to a construction/paving/fence installation company):
Method 1:
Excavate the area, pour a 20 cm layer of compacted sand, then add 10–15 cm of compacted base layer (gravel or dry concrete). After that, place and level the concrete blocks.
Method 2:
Dig a hole under each block measuring 50x50x50 cm. Pour in 20 cm of sand, then 25–30 cm of concrete. Place and level the blocks.
Method 3:
Use cardboard tubes / formwork pipes with a diameter of 35 cm and a length of 50–60 cm. Bury the tubes so that they protrude 7–10 cm above ground level. Fill each tube with concrete.
Make sure the tubes are precisely leveled before pouring concrete.
Method 4:
Use a lightly reinforced foundation slab, 15 cm thick. We will provide a detailed drawing for preparing the slab, including where to leave space for utilities.
Important: the slab must be at least 10 cm smaller than the footprint of the house on each side.
Foundation Blocks:
Use concrete foundation blocks (e.g., 38x24x12/14 cm) or formwork tubes Ø30 cm – total: 30 pcs.
· Blocks must protrude at least 5 cm above ground level to allow straps to be pulled from under the floor.
· They must be precisely leveled, with a maximum deviation of 0.5 cm across the entire surface.
· The outer dimensions of the blocks must be 10 cm smaller than the container on each side.
Utility Connections:
Water / Sewage / Electricity connections must be made after the containers are placed – especially, do not dig along the truck's driving path.
· Water pipe opening in the floor is located 17 cm from the container's outer wall.
· Sewage pipe opening is directly under the toilet bowl, 25 cm from the outer wall. A 110 mm pipe (with a coupling) should be inserted from underneath.
· Electricity – simply connect to the junction box mounted on the outside of each container, at a height of approximately 2.2 m.
· Grounding – connect grounding tape (bednarka) to any metal part (foundation, flashing, etc. on the outside of the cabin).
